Our course makes sure that we make full use of the electronics available in the marine world and you get to helm large but easy to handle well fitted safe RIBs.
A very popular reason for undertaking the RYA Powerboat Level 2 course is so that you can use the Powerboat Level 2 certificate to apply for your International Certificate of Competence (‘ICC’) for boating abroad. This will ensure that you can hire a boat up to 10m with a good sized outboard rather than the small low horsepower vessels you get if you don’t have the licence. Visit our dedicated ICC page – HERE – to learn more about getting the ICC and read about the restrictions for those from some countries when applying.
The RYA Powerboat Level 2 qualification is also the first step on the ladder of becoming commercially endorsed. Read about the commercial use of powerboat certificates – HERE
